New York City Tea Party

Hat tip: Mike Berman

We are having our NYC Tax Day Tea Party, Wednesday, April 15th at City Hall Park, 7pm-9pm with many high profile speakers!

Please get the word out and make sure everyone heads down after work on Tax Day.

Our speakers include:

- Former Speaker of House Newt Gingrich

- Andrew Wilkow of Sirius Radio

- KT McFarland, Security Adviser in the Reagan Administration and regular Fox News contributor

- S. E. Cupp, author and regular Fox News contributor

- Nick Rizzuto, Producer at Sirius Radio and founder of www.conservativepunk.com

- Brett Joshpe, Author, VP of Parcbench Media and General Counsel of the American Civics Exchange

- Patrick Gibson, Radio Host, WVOX-1460-AM

- Myself, President of Parcbench Media (www.parcbench.com)

Parcbench Media is an official national sponsor of www.taxdayteaparty.com.

Thanks everyone. And remember, this is New. York. City. Not DC, not Atlanta, not St. Louis or any other city that has been throwing large Tea Parties. With over 250 other Tea Parties on April 15th let’s show the country that NO ONE does it like New York. Bring as many people as you can, make banners, call your local media to cover it, write about it on blogs and let’s prep for a blowout protest. We demand fiscal responsibility, the cutting of pork out of congressional bills and the repealing of taxes and “fees.”

More updates coming soon and thanks again.

Best,
Kellen Giuda

Wish I could be there but, alas, I’m 3000 miles away. I’ll find one here, though, especially since it’ll drive the nutwings here at “Moscow on the Willamette” even further over the edge.

Do appreciate the posts, too, but you already knew that. Thanks, Zelda.

  2. Sheila Simone Says:

Thanks for posting this. I know most of the speakers. SHOULD BE GOOD!!!!

  3. Paulino Forte Says:

EXCELLENT! I’m happy this is happening so close to home. See you there!!!

  4. Tracy Pfeifer Says:

See you there! Cannot wait. It is time to make a stand.
    Will notify friends and family.

  5. Ron Says:

Have a great time! I’ll try to make the one in DC.

And why is there no speaking role for you? What’s wrong with these people?

  6. Zelda Says:

I have no idea. But if I was to speak there, I’d probably scare everyone away.

  7. Carlos Says:

Zelda, you could always apply for a portion of the “Stimulus” Act to rent His Hollowness’s teleprompter! :>)

  8. Richard Says:

I will be there with signs in tow. The purpose of gov’t is to maximize freedom, not minimize.

  9. Carlos Says:

No, Richard, the purpose of government is to codify behavior, and enforce the codes, and protect its citizens. The purpose of the Constitution of the United States is to codify behavior of the government, codify protections of freedoms for citizens of the United States, and protect its citizens. With an administration bent on modifying or eliminating those protections it is our duty to protest (and defy, if necessary) those changes.

  10. BobG Says:

I will be with you in spirit, if not in the flesh. I have found a tea party in the small city near me.

  11. Jeff Says:

I was planning to go to the Atlanta Tea Party and now I am going to be in NYC on 4/15… Is the Tea PArty at 249 Broadway?

  12. brian sten Says:

  13. Hoss at BigGuv.com Says:

A pre-NYC-er here. I recently high-tailed it out of that tax-loving town down to zero-income-tax florida. Good luck to you all tomorrow.

I’ve been helping organize the Tampa Tea Party down here. Also created this video that I think sums up the Tea Party – as I see it any way.

Please have a look. I think it helps! Thanks!

  14. Actual thinking person Says:

This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. You guys are a bunch of losers. This will have ZERO impact on anything. Have a nice day.

  15. Hey actual thinking person Says:

HEY actual thinking person! Your an ass!
    And probably a commie!

  16. Hoss at BigGuv.com Says:

Hey “Actual Thinking Person”, why not actually think and let us all know where you get your faith that massively larger, more expensive, more intrusive government will not be the curse that history ALWAYS show sit to be?

I know its faith, because you have no precedent, no facts, no data, no proof to back up this extremist, radical sociliasing experiment.

Faith in the words of people in Washington who are they ones who empowering themselves, no you. Not me.

    Think.

  17. Actual thinking person Says:

    Losers!

  18. Actual thinking person Says:

I guess reagan was a Communist!

  19. Hoss at BigGuv.com Says:

Only a dolt can come up with the correlation that because Reagan REDUCED taxes across the board — and Obama wants to INCREASE taxes to 20 year old rates — that they must , therefore, have the same effects on the market.

An increase in relation to your previous burdens is an increase of previous burdens. A decrease in relation to your previous burdens is a decrease of previous burdens.

And you think our competitors have been sitting on their butts these past 20 years? This is supposed to be Obama’s genius?: Wind the clock back 20 years to our competitiveness that’s 20 years old?

And some politically motivated institution gave this yahoo a prize in economics?!

  20. Zelda Says:

Actual thinking person, if we’re such losers, then you certainly won’t mind beating it.

  21. Carlos Says:

ATP: see, there ya go agin, both showin’ yer ignerans and perjectin ’bout bein’ a loser. Sometimes I talk this way so people like you can unnerstan.

If you were to actually be capable of thinking, you might disagree with what is being said or done but you wouldn’t project as you do. If you actually could think, though, you would undoubtedly come to the conclusions most conservatives have and support the entire concept and execution of the Tea Parties. As it is, though, you leave little room except to conclude you’re little more than a spoiled child that can’t stand not being able to control the thoughts and actions of those around you.

For the rest of you, beware of radical leftist plants at your rallies today. They will agitate for violence, and it will give DHS and His Hollowness a perfect stage with which to attack all the “extremists” and get rid of this racist, violent faction once and for all. That’s what DHS is looking for. Don’t give it to them.

I live on Manhattan and want to become active is there a group or “cell” of us small gov’t tea partiers in my Upper Left Side area . I don’t want to have to go to Staten Island ! You know how it is – no insult meant just my NY humor. Please contact me to get me connected.

  23. Zelda Says:

    @ken moss:
Hi Ken. Thanks for writing. I feel for you. The Upper West Side is ultra liberal. If I hear of anything in Manhattan, I’ll let you know.

  24. JAR Says:

Hey Actual thinking person …. your mind must be cluttered with propaganda from the left. Open your mind, read the constitution, and thank God you have the right to be misinformed.

  25. brooklyn boy Says:

Now that The Sick-sties Radicals have become the Establishment they are taking Power FROM. The People to hoard it for themselves! It is their biggest drug fix and they are about to Over Dose, like with all the other drugs (and Drug Companies) they are hooked on! It’s time for America to JUST SAY NO! POWER To WE THE PEOPLE!!! Remember in November !!!

  26. teaparty Says:

    Greetings, excellant article.

  27. Clara Sarrocco Says:

This is not for publication. Isn’t April 15th a Thursday? The announcement states Wednesday, April 15th.

  28. Zelda Says:

@Clara Sarrocco: Hi Clara. Actually, the post list a day. It just read April 15. However, I did get your message, and I put Thursday, to avoid confusion.

  29. Rafael Says:

Something needs to done. Sanity needs to be restored. Tea parties are a fine, politically correct, way to really change the government. I will be there. I had thought to bring a ” “mandatory urine tests for all government assistance recipients ….. and all politicians!”. I have to take a urine test to be able to support welfare recipients. They shold be forced to do the same.
    Anyway,
    see you all there !
