WHAT THE MEDIA IS NOT TELLING YOU

You’ve probably heard over and over again how the Senate failed to pass a bill to bail out the automakers.

I’ll bet you a dollar to a doughnut that in 999 out of 1000 cases the fault is placed at the feet of the Republicans for having thwarted the will of the people.

Funny, though, is how I took a look at the votes and you know what I saw? It failed by 52-35.

If you are anywhere near being on the ball your first question should be? “Hey, I thought we had 100 senators?”

Take a closer look at who voted “NO” or “NOT VOTING”

Look for the number of democrats. Add that number to the 52 who voted “YES.”

Do you come up with 60 like I do?

So EIGHT DEMOCRATS failed to vote yes on this bill.

Explain to me again how this can be the Republicans’ fault when it was EIGHT DEMOCRATS who failed to vote along party lines? And don’t give any crap about Kennedy having cancer. That SOB is out on his yacht, he’s out visiting people, etc. and if Robert Byrd (who probably needed to have his finger placed on his vote) can show up so can Kennedy for an hour.

Someone please do so. And maybe pass it on to your friends. If we’re lucky someone at Fox will pick up this (unless they already did and I missed it in which case I will feel sheepishly stupid.
