Barack Hussein Obama Ridicules Joe The Plumber

First off, what’s wrong with being a plumber? What’s wrong with working hard at any honest job? I take it Obama would have liked the guy better if he was a welfare deadbeat, an illegal alien, a leftist, America-hating college professor, or a trial lawyer. And those people who were laughing in the audience are also disgusting!

Please vote for Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party candidate for president.

There are a number of good reasons. Clearly McCain has no chance now. He shot his bolt.

Moreover, why vote for McCain? He voted for the bailout, just like Obama. And both McCain and Obama support US government investment in big commercial banks, which is Socialism.

Why not send a message to both parties that it is time to vote on principles.

Only Bob Barr is moral enough and conservative enough to deal with the issue of housing, Wall Street, and the rest of the current mess. He has not taken a cent from Fannie or Freddie or from any of the Wall Street firms that profit from the bailout. And Bob Barr has the support of Rep. Ron Paul, who did so well in the Republican primary debates.

I’m no fan of McCain, but isn’t voting for Barr at this point just like giving a vote to Obama?

This is the great quandary regarding third party candidates. An independent or (in this case) libertarian may espouse a platform more in line with what many people may actually agree with, but if they don’t have the numbers in the beginning of the campaign to indicate a real groundswell of support, it is like throwing away one’s vote to the candidate you really don’t want to win.

On the other hand, if one does not vote on one’s principles, he or she will be continuously trapped in a two-party system that, in my opinion, represents two sides of the same coin. Many republicans are exceedingly dismayed by those whom the party offers up and the abandonment of what the party once stood for, yet they can’t shake their affiliation with the party.

Republicans suffer from the same disease as minorities who continuously vote Democrat despite the fact that hardly any of the promises made are ever kept.

Maybe the solution is to once – just once – vote on principle, despite the fact that it might be a throw-away vote that might lead to the less favorable candidate winning. Show the GOP that they cannot continue to take votes and support for granted. If they lose enough support, more people may consider doing the same, and the groundswell third party may actually become a viable choice next time around.

I still believe that in order for any real change to occur, a nation needs to hit rock bottom. Then people will be more willing to take a chance on a third party. As long as people perceive they still live in relative comfort, there is no incentive to rock the boat, and we’ll be left with the status quo and death by a thousand cuts.

I always liked Bob Barr and would have voted for him except he linked up with the ACLU. The ACLU has done much to destroy this nation and its principals and I could never vote for someone who is aligned with them.

joe may have something here, with the GOP and “other” side creating big, bigger, and biggest government do we really have a choice. do we really need to vote for the lesser of two evils every time?
