11 Year Old Boy Suspended For Wearing Anti-Obama T-Shirt

Find out some ways to artistically design a custom t shirt.

——————————————————————————————

An eleven year old fifth grader at the Aurora Frontier K-3 school was suspended for wearing an anti-Obama t-shirt. Here’s a picture of the shirt.

AURORA (MyFOXColorado.com) – An 11-year-old in Aurora says his first amendment rights are being trampled after he was suspended for wearing a homemade shirt that reads “Obama is a terrorist’s best friend.”

The fifth grader at Aurora Frontier K-8 School wore it on a day when students were asked to wear red, white and blue to show their patriotism.

Sounds like the boy did a great job of showing his patriotism. And what the shirt says is absolutely true. Obama refuses to put his hand on his heart for the national anthem. He’s chummy with Bill Ayres and his ugly wife. He’s backed by Ham-Ass. And he wants to negotiate with that Iranian monkey dictator Ahmadinejad without any pre-conditions.

The boy’s father Dann Dalton describes himself as a “proud conservative” who has taken part in some controversial anti-abortion protests. Dalton says the school made a major mistake by suspending his son for wearing the shirt.

“It’s the public school system,” Dalton says. “Let’s be honest, it’s full of liberal loons.”

G-d bless that father, and his son. He’s absolutely right about the liberal loons. If only there were more men in America like him.

According the the boy’s father, the school district told the student, Daxx Dalton, that he had the choice of changing his shirt, turning his shirt inside out or being suspended.

Daxx chose suspension.

“They’re taking away my right of freedom of speech,” he says. “If I have the right to wear this shirt I’m going to use it. And if the only way to use it is get suspended, then I’m going to get suspended.”

Daxx’s dad agrees with him and is encouraging his son to stand his ground. “The facts are his rights were violated. Period.”

Again, the father is absolutely right. Do any of you think for a minute that this boy would have been suspended for wearing a pro-Obama shirt? Or how about a “Bush Is Hitler” shirt?

Not in a million years!

It sounds like the school didn’t want any “pesky” student opposing their beloved Obama messiah.

Aurora Public Schools would not talk about the case but said the district “Respects a student’s right to free speech, such as the right to wear specific clothing,” but administrators say they review any situation that interrupts the learning environment.

Paperwork submitted by the school district says Daxx Dalton was not suspended for wearing the shirt, but for willful disobedience and defiance.

By interrupting the learning environment, I believe this bolshevik goon squad means that the boy’s shirt blatantly contrasted the leftist, multicultural, terrorists loving, America-hating, p.c. bullshit they constantly shove down the throats of those poor child captives.

The boy’s father says he intends to pursue a lawsuit against the district.

Nice try, but that’s not going far enough. Along with suing the district, the father should sue the school too. He should also sue the principal and the teacher PERSONALLY.

These people don’t belong anywhere near children. Let them flip burgers at McDonalds.

  1. Jonny Wonder Says:

amen sista. this is totally unacceptable. I bet that same day a dozen kids were wearing shirts critical of bush… but then that’s not disruptive since it’s a hollywood – endorsed fashion statement.

  2. Srini Gotham Says:

His (or his father’s) intentions were clearly hatred (much like your blogging).

  3. Jonny Wonder Says:

    Srini,

Thanks for the anecdotal bit of stupidity. That’s why there’s no place for democrats in politics. Rather than address the issue of Obama being friends/associates with terrorists and convicted felons, you simply label the opposition full of “hatred” which is no different than the democrat – standard label of “racist” , “stodgy white men” or any other useless label applied to Republicans. Want hatred? Jump off a cliff and save us the future welfare payments to your useless butt.

  4. Michelle Says:

There’s nothing wrong with being anti-Obama, but the fact that it has the word “terrorist” is taking it too far (at least, for a school setting.) If he was told to leave a public place because his shirt was offensive, that would be a violation of his first amendment rights. True, this is a public school- but the school district can enforce a dress code; therefore, they should be able to determine whether a piece of clothing is offensive.

  5. danny boy Says:

Hey michelle, what part of their dress code are they trying to enforce? Is it the fact that no one can wear an anti liberal shirt yet it is perfectly fine to wear anti conservative shirts?

  6. Srini Gotham Says:

Thank you Johnny Wonder. Your post further illustrates the point I was making about unneccessary hatred coming from the (jaded) political stance of this blog. All attack with zero calorie ideas.

I agree with Michelle that viewpoint critical of Obama should be allowed in the classroom, but there is no basis for associating Obama with terrorism. That type of blasphemy should not be tolerated and fifth-graders should not be exposed to it.

I tried to respond yesterday but I couldn’t post for some reason… in response to danny boy, he’s not the only person who’s been suspended for wearing a political t-shirt. In 2003, a high school student in Michigan was sent home after wearing a t-shirt with the face of George Bush and the words “International Terrorist”. Please see the link above.

Personally, I think terrorism is a subject that need not be discussed in a K-8 school, so I can see why the district feels that it’s interrupting the learning environment.

And, to refer to the New York Times article link, “Education lawyers said it was not always clear what action an administrator might constitutionally take if a student wore clothing that expressed volatile views. The answer, the lawyers said, depends on factors like the history of the school and the composition of the student body.”

I think we should let those factors decide whether or not the boy’s rights were violated. And if the boy wins his case, then good for him.

With this said, I don’t think you should be quick to say that the school district is a “bolshevik goon squad” that looks to Obama as their messiah.

  8. Jonny Wonder Says:

Michelle, thanks for showing the other side of the story. It’s good to at least see consistency in these suspensions/dress code violations.

  9. just dont know Says:

Can’t believe the stupidity of the writing here? What is an 11 year old wearing a shirt like this for anyway? To promote the parents dumb ideas onto other students of that age? Let kids be kids and learn about politics when it’s time for them to vote.

  10. Briana Says:

it’s obvious that the 11 year old boy was just repeating what he heard some adult, perhaps his father. Maybe his rights were slightly violated, but that still doesn’t excuse the fact that what he had on his shirt was offensive and racist whether he or his father want to admit it or not.

  11. G.W.C. Says:

    Srini

Did you really refer to someone talking smack about Obama as “blasphemy”? You might want to consider the connotations of that statement. Or, I suppose we could just chalk it up as a Freudian slip. Unless, of course, you actually meant to show your great “faith” in the socialist liberal “religion”.

  12. G.W.C. Says:

I learned about politics from my grandfather (extremely conservative) and my uncle (extremely liberal). I asked them both the same questions and made my decisions based on their answers (BTW grandpa was a farmer, and my uncle was a lawyer). I was 8 years old. The boy may have been hearing mostly one side for all of his life, but that doesn’t necessarily make him stupid, or a pawn.

  13. kayvon Says:

That father is a comlete idiot. I FEEL SORRY FOR THE SON. THE CHILD IS OBVIOUS TAKING ON THE FATHER’S ATTITUDE OF HATRED. WOW! WHAT KIND OF PARENT WOULD INSTILL THAT ON THEIR OWN FLESH AND BLOOD. I BET THE FATHER IS A HIGH-SCHOOL DROP OUT. HE PROBABLY HAS AN 8TH GRADE LEVEL EDUCATION. I BET HIS SON CAN’T HOLD AN INTELIGENT CONVERSATION WITH HIS DAD UNLESS ITS DEALING WITH TRASHING ANOTHER RACE. THE FATHER KNEW THAT WEARING THE TEE-SHIRT WOULD CAUSE DISTURBANCE IN THE CLASSROOM, THEREFORE, HE SHOULD BE MADE TO PAY THE TEACHERS’ SALARY FOR THAT DAY. HE WAS LOOKING FOR A REASON TO SUE. I HOPE THE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW HIM TO GET AWAY WITH IT. HE SHOULD BE CHARGED WITH ILL-SHAPING THE CHARACTER OF A MINOR. NO WONDER THE CHILDREN IN AMERICA ARE SO ANGRY. LOOK AT BSOME OF THE ADULTS THAT THEY HAVE TO DEAL WITH. HELL, IF I WAS A KID, I WOULD PRETEND THAT I’M LISTENING AND WHEN THE CRFAZY ADULT IS NOT LOOKING I WOULD DO WHAT THE HELL I WANT TOO. I’M GOING TO BE MISERABLE ANYWAY. I CAN’T IMAGINE LIVING IN A HOME BEING RAISED BY A RACIST/HITLER DAD. HE IS TOO STUPID TO UNDERSTAND THAT HUMANS HAS NO CHOICE AS TO WHAT COLOR OR GENDER THEY WANT TO BE WHILE IN THE WOMB. I HOE YOU ARE NOT MARRIED. BECAUSE IF YOU ARE, YOUR WIFE IS SUFFERING IN SILENCE. NO WOMAN WANT TO BE MARRIED TO AN IDIOT. I BET YOU ARE LOUSY IN BED TOO! GET A LIFE. IF YOU DON’T LIKE OTHER RACES, GO LIVE ON A SECLUDED ISLAND. THAT WAY WE WON’T HAVE TO DEAL WITH YOUR DUMB ASS!

  14. kayvon Says:

SRINI: YOU ARE THE USLESS WELFARE RECIPIENT. YOUR ANCESTORS SET ON THEIR ASSESS IN THE BIG HOUSE WHILE BLACKS WORKED THE FIELDS AND COOKED THEIR FOOD. YOU LAZY BUMS STOLE MONEY, SEX AND ANYTHING ELSE YOU COULD STEAL FROM THE BLACKS DURING SLAVERY. NOW YOU HAVE THE ODESITY TO TALK ABOUT BEING USELESS. YOU ARE THE USELESS PIEICE SHIT. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ON WELFARE, BUT YOU HAVE IDIOT. WHEN YOUR GRANDFATHER SAT OWN HIS WHITE ASS AND COLLECTED MONEY FROM HARD WORKING BLACKS LEAVING THEM NOTHING SO THAT THEY COULD HAVE AN INHERITANCE FOR THEIR CHILDREN. SO SHUT THE HELL UP! YA’LL STILL ON WELFARE, BLACKS HAS BEEN CARRYING YALL FOR A LONG TIME. READ YOUR HISTORY OR BETTER YET GO BACK TO SCHOOL. THIS TIME STAY AWAK DURING CLASS.

  15. kayvon Says:

I AM SORRY SRINI, I MEANT FOR MY LAST RESPONSE TO GO TO JOHNNY WONDER, HE IS THE USELESS PIECE OF SHITOH YEA AND WELFARE RECIPIENT.

  16. Brandon Says:

Kayvon and Srini, you have just proven conservative american’s points. Obama, whether you like it or not, has been proven to have had relationships with some very questionable characters, but instead of recognizing that what was printed on that shirt was alluding to that fact, you had to turn it into a racial thing. Kayvon, another point you have proven so very well, is when you liberals cannot make an argument based on fact, you degenerate into personal, infantile attacks on someone who does not agree with you. For instance, I could say that I have left things floating in the toilet that have more intellectual capacity than you, but I wouldn’t do that. You make the implication that since his father is a conservative that he has a remedial education at best, I have news for you, people who do not want every aspect of their lives controlled by someone else, tend to be far more intelligent than the “lemmings” who just follow what someone else tells them to do. As far as the whining about slavery goes, WHITE PEOPLE have been subjected to it as well, grab a history book and read about indentured servants, as well as the peasant class of people living under the monarchies in Europe, they were treated just as poorly, and in a lot of cases, worse than African slaves were. I have never owned a slave, nor do I want to own one. The point that I’m trying to make is this, that happened many years ago so quit your bitching. Too soon you forget that blacks still wouldn’t be free, if it wasn’t for the evil white man fighting to free them in the civil war. So before you go making ignorant, RACIST blanket statements remember that little “inconsequential” (apparently you think so) fact. Maybe you are the one who needs to go pick up a history book. Another little fact for you (for which I’m sure you’ll label me a bigot)is this, you wouldn’t be enjoying this wonderful country, if it wasn’t for white people, like it or not, and guess what, unfortunately for you I was awake during history class. I guess the point I’m trying to make is this, you have no right labeling his father as a racist/hitler simply because he does not share your opinion. Furthermore, how about giving the kid a little credit for independent thought. How would you have liked it at that age if people were calling you a mindless parrot and nothing more. I don’t know about you, but unless I was the exception to the rule, I was starting to form opinions of my own at that age, your treating the kid as if he was 4 or 5. I don’t know about you, but I would be a touch pissed off if I was him. But there again, I’m sure just because he made an Anti-Obama tee-shirt your going to say that he obviously could not have thought that up on his own. I’m not saying that your parents don’t influence your opinions, decisions, etc., I’d be a fool to say otherwise. The point I’m trying to get across is this, you don’t know for sure that what was written on that shirt was racially motivated, you just assumed and attacked and slandered another person and their point of view. People who constantly preach tolerance, acceptance, and understanding of everything, no matter how perverse or immoral it happens to be, and then stoop to this level of hypocrisy, make me want to puke. Doesn’t feel to good when someone else makes assumptions about you, does it.

  17. terrorbird Says:

And they were probibly welcoming students with BUSH THE #1 TERRORISTS T-Shirts TWO FACED SCHOOL OFFICIALS SUCK

  18. Shahriar Says:

Kayvon, you’re a disgrace like Ahmadinejad.

Obama IS a terrorist’s best friend. His silence and open hand to the Islamic Republic, the regime that’s destroying and vilifying Iran is all the evidence you should need. The truth is, Bush was right in calling the Iranian government an Axis of Evil — it is — and more so to their own people than any nation. They don’t give a damn about Freedom of Speech, nor HUMAN RIGHTS, yet Obama is more than happy to “extend an open hand”. So now Obama’s put the U.S. in a position to be snubbed by the Islamic regime, and compromised America’s honor and Iranian citizens’ basic freedoms.

But should we expect any less? Obama is of the same camp as Carter, who also screwed America’s economy, and was more than eager to promote the sovereignty of Khomeini’s regime (who Shah had exiled for terrorism), heading a THEOCRATIC government that established itself by taking American hostages, while KILLING over 20,000 of the most patriotic Iranians. And they’ve held Iran captive since.

Kayvon, I suggest you change your name. It is your very brand of liberalism that invited Islamic fanatics to take over Iran, and plunged it from a rising G8 nation into the dark ages.

To fellow Americans, defend your individual rights, national heritage, and personal liberties (and promote those of other nations) as if your very LIFE depends on it, because OUR way of life does.

Please also help freedom loving Iranians get out of the grip of the truly evil Islamic regime that’s robbed Iranians’ freedoms and is systematically destroying Iran’s cultural and historical identity, and rewriting Iran’s connection to the Cyrus the Great, whose First Charter of Human Rights (539 BC) was an inspiration for America’s founding fathers and the Bill of Rights.

  19. mattyboy Says:

so how about if the student wore a shirt that says “i have 2 dads” or “gay pride”…..should that be allowed since its his first amendment right? It amazes me the complete ignorance of people that claim to know politics. Johnny Wonder and whoever posted this to begin with are 2 GREAT examples of ignorant white trash Americans who know nothing about anything except how to sound like an idiot. Way to go Johnny…10 tard points to you!!!

  20. Deadman Says:

Mattyboy… I don’t like Obama. His policies, naive bumbling and total disregard for public opinion make me sick. After all that…. I still would not have a problem with a student wearing either of the shirts you proposed.
Just because someone has a differing opinion does not make them an idiot. It means they are different than you. Simple enough?

  21. Taryn Says:

When will people grow up? A school dress code is set in place to prevent sexual harassment not censor your children from views that are too “liberal” or too “conservative”. You are the parents, it is your job to teach your children right, wrong, and the ability to think for THEMSELVES.

Now I am not naive enough to believe racism isn’t still an issue but COME ON! Yes, race is still an issue. Is race THE problem, no. Will Lil Wayne ever be president, no but neither would Larry the Cable Guy. The point here is I want a president who supports the U.S. military, who fights against the terrorists, who doesn’t pretend we’ve won when we’ve only cut a few legs of a millipede.

    To Michelle:
You say an 11 year old is too young to understand “terrorism”, that it shouldn’t be taught in school… I remember 9 years ago to the day a time when I was sitting at lunch in the middle school cafeteria watching new footage of two planes hitting the towers at ground zero. I remember it clearly. I remember watching America cry. I remember watching America wipe the dirt of its knees. I remember watching America stand tall in the face of terrorism and fight back. No, 11 years old isn’t too young to learn of terrorism and evil. Crack open your kids history book and refresh your memory…terrorism is something everyone remembers

  22. Ric Says:

I totally disagree with the sentiment on the t-shirt, and the right-wing rhetoric spouted by this website.

But to ask this kid to remove the shirt, no matter how I feel about it, flies in the face of everything this country stands for. Everyone, liberal or conservative, should be up in arms about this suspension.

  23. Benjamin Says:

I don’t agree with the message on the boy’s shirt, and the commentary from this blogger is idiotic at best, but the kid should be permitted to wear it at school and certainly should not have been suspended.

  24. Zelda Says:

@Benjamin: If you find my commentary “idiotic” then don’t comment here.

  25. vilmar Says:

Benjamin, let’s work on the grammar, OK?

When you say, “commentary from this blogger” I naturally assume you are referring to yourself as YOU are the one making the “COMMENT-ary.”

Did you mean to say you don’t agree with the position of the owner of the blog? Wouldn’t that have been better expressed as, “and the opinions of this blog’s owner” instead?

So, which is it? Are you the idiot or the blog owner?

I really don’t like to criticize a person’s grammar or spelling skills but, frankly, I’m tired of trying to figure out what people mean when they don’t even have the most rudimentary English skills.

  26. Tam Says:

I don’t see anywhere on this young mas shirt that it said anything about race/or color!!!!!!!!! You must be the racist!!! When the president of the USA will not go to Arlington Cemetary for Memorial Day then there is something wrong with that “man”. I don’t care what color he is. (All races who have died for their (and your) country are buried there!!!!) And I am Irish and we were inslaved for years so you can’t use that one on me!

  27. L. G. Wilkins Says:

Firstly, I can see where this appears to be a violation of this boy’s rights. In a school setting in the absence of parents the school itself act’s as a parent and if something is a distraction, from a cell phone to a shirt that says Terrorist. If the Administrators find this offensive to some enough to detract from the educational values of the school they can and have the right to enforce a dress code. We often fought dress code battles at my school over halter tops, how much cleavage can be revealed usual teenage things. I think that the school should not have expelled this boy perhaps a warning or in school detention. When you disagree with my mom she grounds us from various items. He disagreed with the school the parents in this case and was punished.
Secondly, you are claiming that because he knows terrorists or felons he is in fact one of them. That is the feeling I got from Johnny Wonder. In the land of the free we are innocent till proven guilty. No proof Obama is a terrorist beside speculation and terrible leads. No solid evidence no solid case no trial no conviction. Hes innocent and elected whether we like it on not. I don’t care really what people say I take everything from word of mouth as a lie without evidence proven again and again I can’t believe either side. These jabs at each other are so pointless and futile the oldest more respected people in government sound like the freshman in the halls.
But, this is just the view of a much younger person not troubled by much in life except the inability of their country to work as one unit. It makes me sick to my stomach, watching this debate watching the news watching the elections watching your hate and irrational ideas and presumptions draw lines in the sand for your kids to fight over, in the years to come.
Congrats to all of you, you’ve angered a kid with barely a High school education and made them use scientific reasoning from 4th grade and common knowledge of Government class and the court system to explain themselves. If you want to comment feel free if you want to really want to talk leave me a message on here I’ll send you my Xbox address.

P.S. Ham-Ass? I think you meant Hamas lol. It’s an abbreviation for ?arakat al-Muq?wamat al-Isl?miyyah. I learned in class, correct spelling and known abbreviations are important for documents otherwise your reader may not know what your talking about. I’m not sure if you were kidding or didn’t know the spelling, I’m trying to help you make your publication one with elegance and from standing in an internet community. Thank you all for reading….let the contradictions and rebuttals to my statements begin I look forward to reading each one and slowly laughing to myself as I play Xbox. Good day.

  28. Bobby Says:

Students have a restricted version of the rights to free speech. It’s more than a dress code. It applies to school newspapers, publications, pamphlets, etc. Anything speech-related that the students do that takes place within the walls of the school is subject to greater restrictions than what would be allowed under normal free-speech circumstances. Has nothing to do with Obama, terrorists, liberals, conservatives, gay, straight, black, or white.

  29. Masserae Says:

I think that instead of all the insults you just have to look at the facts….

If a shirt like that was worn with regard to Bush or Reagan…the child would have been suspended. Most schools have policy about what can be worn. I know when I worked at a pretty well known aftercare facility in Fl and La the kids were not allowed to wear controversial items such as the confederate flag. Has anyone checked to see if the shirt violated school policy?

As for all the ignorant things written it is sad that conversations cannot be had without resorting to such ignorant rantings.

By the way to the author I assume who referenced Obama doesn’t put his hand on his heart for the national anthem…I do not either…yet to my knowledge I am not chummy with terrorist.

  30. Saz Says:

This is a terrible piece of writing.
Firstly, you should never use “I believe” anywhere in your writing. Secondly, you are blatantly declaring that all liberals have affiliations with or are terrorists. If this was true, North America would be wiped out in no time. 21% of Americans are liberal, are you saying 21% of them are “multicultural, terrorists loving, America-hating, p.c. bullshit”? Now, let’s define “multicultural”, shall we? The dictionary definition is “consisting of, relating to, or designed for the cultures of several different races” This means you say ‘several different races” like it’s a bad thing. Many of my friends are African-American, Indian or Chinese. They all have different cultures. That is what multiculturalism is. Saying it like a bad thing states that you are a racist.
“America-hating”. If this were true, America would lose 21% of its population. 40% are conservative and the rest are undecided or moderate. Is is not true that people of both sides of the political spectrum can have opinions on America?
Another phrase I noticed in your writing is as follows:
“[Obama]‘s chummy with Bill Ayres and his ugly wife. He’s backed by Ham-Ass. And he wants to negotiate with that Iranian monkey dictator Ahmadinejad without any pre-conditions.”
First of all, insults are not going to sway people to your side. Calling people “ham-ass” “ugly” and “monkey” are a perfect was to write- that is, if you want to increase the liberal population by another 5%.
Another quote I noticed is:”He’s absolutely right about the liberal loons. If only there were more men in America like him.”
Your opinion is invalid without the ‘why’. WHY is he right? Why do we want more men in America like him?
This text might meet a C standard if it’s being graded by a third grade English teacher, but by the time you’re old enough to have invalid political opinions like that and express them crudely, this could get you fired if you have a writer’s job.
If you’re under 10 years old, fine, I’ll cut you some slack. However, you obviously aren’t;so in conclusion, this is lazy, ill-researched, and invalid.

  31. Zelda Says:

Uh Saz, this is my blog, and I’m entitled to my opinions. If you don’t like them, no one is forcing you to comment here. Feel free to get your own blog.

Regarding that boy, if he wore a Che Guevarra shirt, do you think he would get suspended? I doubt it.

  32. vilmar Says:

Saz: if Zelda’s post is lazy, ill-researched and invalid then your reading comprehension skills border that of a 2 year old.

Further, if 21% of liberals were terminated, then this country would instantly be better off.

And who said anything about her wanting to sway anyone to her side? That’s not the point.

You’re obviously pretty clueless when it comes to blogs. The are “web logs” meant to convey the opinions of the owner. In this case, when one conveys opinions, it is assumed that those pinions are based on “beliefs” therefore her use of “I believe” is, in fact, warranted.

Your ability to comment is a privilege so bear that in mind when you attack the credibility of the blog owner.

    Moron.

  33. BobF Says:

If only those 21% liberals would leave the country. Can you imagine the productivity and growth of this nation and its citizens?

  34. Saz Says:

    Well:
BobF: In which case, America would then also lose 21% of all jobs, which is counterproductive. America would lose 21% of people who work hard each day to make sure that you get food, water, and a home, which is also counterproductive. Whether they work for the Supreme Court or for Starbucks, either way. That would do terribly for the economy as thousands of dollars in tax money would be gone; the government could then not provide the luxuries you enjoy today. Those come from tax money.
Vilmar: The same thing I say to BobF about the tax money lost if 21% of the US’s population left for elsewhere. That would also lose the US part of its army. Next time think before making such invalid statements (and you can quote me on that).
“your reading comprehension skills border that of a 2 year old.” As I said in reply to the blog: Insults aren’t going to make people want to listen to you or take your opinions seriously in any way whatsoever.
Zelda: I have just as much right to a voice as you do. May I quote the charter of rights? “Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication…”This means that if I want to comment on your little blog, I can.
“Get your own blog.” Well, Zelda… http://sarahzsblogg.blogspot.com/
“if he wore a Che Guevarra shirt, do you think he would get suspended?” Well, I’m not going to correct the spelling error you just made, so I’ll raise another issue. It depends. On everything. If the shirt was as offensive as the Obama shirt, then yes. If it was harmless, then no.
Also, in your blog, you call liberals “America hating” while you insult the president. A little hypocritical much?

  35. Saz Says:

I love how you censor out the word “God” but not “bullshit”.

  36. Zelda Says:

Saz, let me correct you this time. The freedom of voice, speech, thought, belief, opinion, expression, and media that liberals love to bring up only means the government can’t penalize individuals or media outlets saying or publishing something they find offensive. It has nothing to do with a private individual commenting on a blog. This blog is my on home on the Internet. I have every right to decide who can comment here. It’s the same thing as you deciding who you want in your home. So for example, if I were to somehow come into your home and start insulting you, you would have every right to throw me out, regardless of my freedom of speech.

I hope I finally made myself clear.

  37. Mark Says:

Saz i won’t mock you due to fact you sound mentally challenged. You seem to be critique of writing well thats fine.As for your comment that there’s nothing wrong with being multi cultural i agree.I myself am great fan of Col.Allen West,Clarence Thomas and Herman Badillo.

  38. IrishZionist Says:

@Saz, Obama is NOT the president legally as he won’t and can’t prove he is a US citizen. Liberals side with every enemy of America. They love to talk about freedom of this and that but if you dare criticize black crime, Islam, abortion, queer “marriage” etc, you liberals are all up in arms defending them. It’s the liberals that are destroying America!

  39. BobF Says:

Saz, do you really believe loosing 21% of the population, the liberals, would hurt the nation and economy? If any of that 21% do have jobs, then we could provide those jobs to the people liberals are keeping in economic slavery @ welfare. You don’t find many liberals in the Armed Forces…I know, I was career military. Military people believe in personal sacrifice for a greater cause, not having others sacrifice to provide for that greater cause.

Also, what is the charter of rights? I’ve never heard of it? As far as Constitutional Rights go, your rights end at my property line. You don’t have the right to come on to my property and hold a religious service or assembly. You have no right to bring pornographic material on my property or even be on my property. And, if you insist on doing so, I guarantee you that I will exercise my Second Amendment Right to protect my property from any invader who claims to be exercising their rights.

  40. Saz Says:

    Didn’t expect this much hate…
@Zelda You are correct in your statement about free speech, and I did make a mistake when quoting the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. However, this does not change the issue at hand. If someone worse a shirt saying “bush is Hitler” they would receive a similar or same punishment as they would by wearing an anti-Obama shirt.
@Mark: You call me “mentally challenged”, then make 8 spelling /grammar mistakes in 4 sentences. Honestly, I won’t even bother.
@IrishZionist Oh? Is Hawaii suddenly a part of South America? I hadn’t heard that news! Also, you say black crime like people are only committing crimes because they are black. It would be all too easy to pull out the racist card here and now, but I’ll just leave you to think about how the color of someone’s skin can change their personality.
@BobF: Oh, of course, I haven’t explained the charter of rights and freedoms to any of you. See, after the move, I have grown quite accustomed to my new country in which our rights are represented not by amendments but by The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. I suppose they don’t apply to you fully, though the majority of the rights are pretty much the same, such as our right to free speech. We have a few differences, such as liberalism is used. Gay marriage is perfectly legal everywhere in the country, and we don’t declare war on every country that pisses us off. Speaking of which, you’ve never won one against Canada.
Though now I will receive comments like “Well if you’re not American you don’t have the right or the knowledge to comment here!” Before the hate comments arise, let me say I have lived there 10 years.

i support this child and his father obama was the wrong choice for america i will admit i am a conservative and this is messed up that the school suspended him i am a high school student and if i wear something inappropriate they call your parents and have them bring you something else to wear but anyways fuck public school systems.

  42. Saz Says:

Well, I’m not saying he should have been suspended, maybe just given a detention, called home, and made him change into something else. I’m simply stating the poor writing and defense used on this article/blog.

Those who’ve written that an 11-year-old boy is incapable of developing and expressing an opinion on national politics independent of his parents are completely wrong.

Especially in this information-dense Internet environment, any youngster can become sufficiently informed to make his own decisions about what and who he supports, even if he’s not old enough to vote. His choices at age 11 are almost certainly not going to be the same ones he’ll make later in life, in the light of increased education and experience, but his understanding of moral conduct is either present by the time he’s done the first decade of his life or it never will be.

And politics is nothing except an extension of individual ethical conduct. If it’s not moral for you to do something to another person, it’s not moral for you to delegate that action to the people who make up your government so they can do it on your behalf.

Schools must have dress codes, and a necessary part of that dress code is the abatement of distractions which tend to degrade the learning environment. Government schools are no different.

The tee-shirt improvised by the boy in this case was – without a doubt – designed to make a statement that provoked, and was inappropriate for the school environment. I say this despite the fact that I hate “Harrison J. Bounel” (or whatever in hell his name REALLY is) and want to see that Mombasa Messiah perp-walked out of the White House in handcuffs by a squad of U.S. Marshals on literally thousands of criminal charges, to finish out his miserable life on suicide watch in a federal “supermax” prison.

If he’s not just deported to the Republic of Indonesia, where it appears that he’s still a citizen under the name of “Barry” Soebarkah.

School dress code violations such as this one, however, should not be addressed with suspension or even detention. Considering how much government school systems spend per-pupil every year, it would be perfectly reasonable for each such school to keep a bale of plain white cotton tee-shirts.

When a youngster shows up with a “message” shirt like this one, he or she can simply be taken to the school nurse’s office and required to change into a plain replacement garment. The parent(s) can be asked to report to the school to pick up the offending shirt while the student goes on with whatever it is that government schools do instead of providing real education.

Suspending a boy so that he escapes a few days of compulsory government schooling is a reward, not a punishment.

Kayvon, get yourself a dictionary and take several grammar classes before posting again. Sheesh !!!! It’s not difficult to spot your racist remarks. Typical liberal bullshit. Mask racism by accusing others of it in a pathetic attempt to suppress an opposing viewpoint.
