Current events, politics and life in general from the perspective of a conservative woman in New York

SO NOW ELIGIBILITY IS MEASURED BY “MEET THE PRESS” APPEARANCES?

In this Politico piece about Sarah Palin I couldn’t help but notice this:

By picking somebody he and most Americans barely know — an out-of-the-blue decision that sent shock waves of disbelief through the political world and still has jaws agape — McCain has taken a considerable gamble.

The choice is historic, yes. Palin becomes only the second woman to run on a major-party ticket and the first Republican woman to do so. But it’s also fraught with risks.

Palin, 44, is less than two years removed from being mayor of Wasilla, Alaska; has no military or foreign policy experience in a time of grave international threat; and has never even appeared a single time on “Meet the Press,” let alone been scrutinized by a voracious and around-the-clock modern media beast.

First: what military experience do Obama and Biden have? ZERO! Palin is in charge of all of Alaska’s National Guard.

But not appearing on MEET THE PRESS? Since when is that a qualifier for a presidential race?

Who is this moron that wrote this piece?

And another thing: Funny how the liberal leftists in this country are going after Palin because of how she is “inexperienced” and came from out of nowhere, far from Washington. Yet isn’t that exactly what they praise Obama for when he says we need a “change” and that he brings “hope?” Why can’t the same thing be said about Palin? Why can’t McCain be praised for bringing “hope” and “change” to the republican ’08 ticket?

Yes. If you’ve never appeared on “Meet The Press” and are something more than an elected official out of East Cayuga, then there’s a better-than-even chance you’re conservative and wouldn’t be welcome on the program.

Moonbats mistakenly looked upon Barackula as their “chosen one,” an outsider who falsely promised change. Forget about change, Barackula’s not interested in your pocket change, he wants what’s in your bank account to fund his 21st century version of LBJ’s failed “War On Poverty.” His plan is to take the “W.O.P.” on a road trip, going global as another UN boondoggle.

By picking Gov. Palin, Sen. McCain offered us a true, refreshing breath of fresh-air to replace the stale “good ol’ boys network” of blowhards. Real change for a change instead of all the smoke n’ mirrors put out by the moonbats “chosen one” & how the left howls in agony as they & their golden angel got upstaged by a wile political veteran.

All of their prepared hit-pieces on the VP picks they knew were most likely are now useless. Obamamaniacs must scurry about fretting about how to attack a successful, real American woman who is more qualified to be Vice President than Sen. Obama is for the top job, President of our USA. Conservatives are gleefully looking ahead to the day when Sen. Clinton goes head2head against Vice President Palin for POTUS. Sen. Clinton will have eight years to get in shape for that “SmackDown,” poor Bill…

“They can’t stand the thought of Republicans delivering the first female President” What really burns m’ even more is that they know we will deliver a truly monumentus event. Moonbats are scared, their fear can be clearly read in their silly, sexist attacks against Gov. Palin.

“It looks like McCain did pretty well on this one. Someone who has actually been making decisions” McCain will be a President who can & will make decisions, good solid decisions.
