Fan Mail From An Obama Supporter
Occasionally I get messages from readers who email me via this blog’s “Contact Me” form. They sometimes want to exchange links, or in the case of the Lorne Baxter video, they’ll ask me for the code to put up the video on their own sites. But sometimes, crazy Obama supporters use the “Contact Me” form to give me a piece of their minds, and to defend their beloved messiah.
Just the other day, I received one such message criticizing Republicans for focusing exclusively on G-d, guns and patriotism. So I wrote this person back asking him what problem he had with G-d, guns and patriotism. Here’s his response:
You’re simply proof that just because you have your own website, and can spew out simplistic ideologic talking points, doesn’t mean you have
a semblance of intelligence. If you look at Obama’s speeches, his voting record, his passion for dignity in public service, and his incredible AMERICAN story, you would feel really stupid and ashamed for questioning Obama’s patriotism. First off, that is simply not true that he refuses to salute the flag, just because there is one video circulating on youtube of him without his hand over his heart doesn’t mean that he refuses to. Have you put your hand over your heart every single time you have ever heard the pledge of allegiance or national anthem in your entire life? You would be lying if you said yes? Would you bet your life on it? I know I haven’t — does that make me an American hater as well? Grow up — seriously!Have you read any of his books? Do you actually know any facts, or do
you just reiterate what Limbaugh and Hannity say? Is forgoing a ritzy
and wealthy future in corporate law, to go work as a community organizer (making crappy pay) in Chicago, not patriotic. Is passing the first ethics reform in over a decade in the Senate not patriotic. How about expanding healthcare to hundrends of thousands of children in IL? Is that not patriotic? How about having the judgement and courage to oppose the Iraq War, which we all know was a disasterous blunder by the Bush Administration, from the very start? Is that not patriotic? So according to you patriotism is wearing a fucking flag pin, never forgetting to put your hand on your heart for the national anthem or pledge of allegiance, and then pissing on your own country when it comes to healthcare, foreign policy and our energy crisis. No, darling, patriotism is something that is etched into action — not words. It’s something you do — not say. And it is never as easy as wearing some stupid pin or saluting the flag. That’s about as good as some italian mobster who kills innocent people and then goes to church on Sunday. You may express your patriotism, but Obama lives it.And by the way, what you think as liberal is has now moved to the center. If you don’t believe me, just wait until November. People are
fed up with the republicans. They’re fed up with 50 million people without health insurance, and McCain’s solution is for the market to handle it. They’re pissed off that Bush let Osama Bin Laden and the
Taliban go, and instead opted to invade Iraq –a sovereign nation that had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11. These are facts dear. They
can’t be reputed. No WMD’s were found, and no connection to 9/11 or
the Taliban were found. Even Bush admitted this. You keep trying to
convince people that Obama is anti-american, because you may has well
be trying to convince them that $4 and $5 a gallon for gas isn’t too bad, and that spending $10 billion in a month in Iraq indefinitely isn’t bad either — cuz that’s what McCain is offering. It’s a disgraceful extension of the politics of fear that have divided this country for the past 7 years. If you want to preach against Obama, do it so on facts, and on issues. Not on guilt by associations or things that are simply not true. If you aren’t willing to do that, which would presume you aren’t — then you’re just acknowledging what everybody in the U.S. knows is true — that republicans can’t win on the issues anymore, because the vast majority of Americans have shifted to the left, after 7 years of Bush. The only way you can win is by smearing a candidate, by calling him unpatriotic, by lying to the American people and bringing up any other insignificant aspect of Obama’s life. Anything but facts and issues.
First off, what is it with Obama supporters being so long winded?
Anyway, let me try and address this arrogance and nutiness once and for all.
First off, I don’t feel stupid and ashamed in the least for questioning Obama’s patriotism. Are there people who don’t put their hands on their hearts for the national anthem out of ignorance? Certainly. But Barack Obama is running for position of Commander in Chief of our military. So he’d damn well better know the protocol. But considering that he spent 20 years attending a church with an America hating pastor, I think it’s obvious that Obama has let his true colors slip by refusing to salute our flag.
He’s nothing but a Jesse Jackson clone. The only difference is being that Obama speaks English, whereas Jackson speaks Ebonics. But I digress…
Also, notice how liberals say we should focus on the “real issues,” whenever a politicians unsavory, associations are revealed. In other words, it doesn’t matter if a presidential candidate has close ties to domestic, Middle Eastern and African terrorists. The only thing that matters to these people, is having their leaders play Robin Hood.
And finally, no liberal diatribe would be complete without the usual rants of Bush lied, there were no WMD’s in Iraq. Saddam Hussein had no connection to Al Qaeda, we’re paying too much for gas, blah, blah, blah.
Mr. Moonbat conveniently ignores the fact that 550 tons of uranium were recently found in Iraq. In terms of oil prices going through the roof, again, we have the Democrats, and their environmentalist minions who care more about pellicans and polar bears than human beings, to blame for that.
End of rant!

A pure socialist. Just where in the Constitution of the United States does it state the government is repsonsible to provide healthcare?
You blame Bush for high gas prices. How does Bush control the world’s oil market? Ninety five percent of the world’s oil is nationalized and therefore controlled by governments. Bush has been pushing for offshore and ANWR drilling for years. Democrats have opposed this exploration and drilling and now we’re paying the price for their opposition. It’s interesting how gas prices really shot up when Democrats took control of Congress and Nancy promised to tax the oil companies to lower prices.

You say Obama was making crappy pay? Just what was he getting paid? I bet he was still living a very comfortable lifestyle. His wife alone was making over 100K per year before he became a senator. Interesting though how his wife got a 100% pay increase upon him getting elected to the Senate.

I rip Bush a new one just about every day–in today’s Magazine, I hit him hard.
Let’s just THINK BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA…..What’s in a name–nothing really but the USA is in a major conflict with the damn moooosies and there is something distasteful to have a president with that name!
Trivial you say? Hell no—90% of the world’s people are intellectual idiots–all they’ll see is a mooosie name.
His experience? The last time we elected a man with little
political experience we got George Jr……DUH!
Hussein’s personal/family history is “suspect” in some of his religious ties(Wright?), his mooosie ties, his ‘racism’.
His biggest ASSET is his Hitler like speaking skills (not theology, yet…..)–he mesmerizes the 90% and he has them bowing at his feet by the end of the speech.
Truth: When Bush is on TV I mute the sound; I watch/listen to McCain’s ads and they are pleasant. His POW ad has been examined point by point and found to be 100% accurate; Obama comes on and I change the f–king station!
I would be concerned about some damn closet racist coming out of the closet and assassinating him! (I’m serious)–talk aboput a shot being heard around the world and the ghettos!
Didn’t mean to rant—-my choice for president? NONE OF THE ABOVE.

Sorry, but this is also going to be a bit long-winded.
OK, Mr. Socialist, let’s start with the “issues.” Obama, like every other socialist, I mean democrat, candidate is promising health care; nothing original there. Again, where is that written in the Constitution, “Government sponsored health care?” Like all government entitlement programs, a good deal of the taxes that will be taken out of EVERYBODY’S pocket to pay for this will go to bureaucracies to administer these programs. Who will set the fees for doctors to be paid for their services? What if those fees are not agreeable to the doctors, nurses, radiologists, etc.? Do you feel that health care practitioners should be obligated to perform their work at any fee set by anybody other than themselves and their employers? Are you prepared for health care practitioners to form unions and go on strike when their demands aren’t met? Are you prepared to have the government tell you what drug brands you can get prescribed from their list of approved suppliers (no room for graft and corruption there?) I am an American living in a socialist country, and I can tell you that is exactly what will happen because it happens here all the time. For what it’s worth, I paid less out of pocket for a doctor’s visit and prescriptions back in the US with my company’s private health care plan than I do here. Get it through your thick socialist skull that NOTHING IS FREE!
What else has Obama done in his mere 4 years as a US senator? List them. What bills has he himself authored and pushed through the senate and then had them passed. List please.
About “letting Osama escape.” I love this one because all you leftists (who think you are now centrists) parrot the same thing (and you call conservatives sheeple and robots). Listen, he escaped into this vast region called the Tora Bora, much bigger than your local shopping mall or Starbucks where you get your soy latte each day. Our men, along with their local guides, were tracking him, right on his heels, and he went into Pakistan where Musharof, in fear of rebellion from his own muslim jihadis, refused our guys entrance into his country but promised to take up the search with his troops. Why don’t you write him a letter and ask him whey he’s so incompetent? Oh, and this is the same Pakistan that Obama said might need to be bombed, too, or did you conveniently forget that little bit? How about this: Why don’t YOU, Mr. high-and-mighty-I-read-a-book-so-I-know-everything, get off your ass, take a flight to Pakistan, and find Bin Laden yourself if it means so much to you? You won’t, because those Hun bastards would eat you for breakfast and play putt-putt golf with your testicles afterward.
Now, before you think I am some big McCain supporter, Bush fanatic, or a Republican for that matter – I’m not. I belong to no political party. If I had to categorize myself by political philosophy I would have to say I’m more libertarian than anything else, meaning, “Shut up and leave me alone to live my life as I see fit, and I’ll show you the same courtesy. I owe you nor anybody else anything unless I deem it worthy of my time, energy, or money, and I don’t expect anything from you.”
And while we’re on the subject of money, I can assure you that I am not rich by any stretch of the word. My wife and I live in New Zealand, one of the highest taxed countries in the OECD, and we support two teenage kids on a combined gross income of less than $100,000 per year (that’s NZ dollars, which are worth about 74 US cents right now, and buy far less than US dollars do). Gasoline here is $2.18 per liter and milk is over $4 for a two liter bottle (at 3.78 liters per US gallon, do the math). We pay $2100 per month for a four bedroom house, and with it being winter our electric bill is over $200 per month. We pay over $250 per week on groceries, and that is just for staple items – no cookies, chips or other junk food. There is a 12.5% government tax (on top of many other government taxes) on EVERYTHING including bulk, unprocessed food like meat and vegetables.
I tell you this not to whine and moan – I chose to live here of my own free will – but rather to tell you that the ideas Obama and his minions have for the US are exactly like those already in place here. Trust me, I don’t think you would be very happy if the US turned into a socialist workers’ paradise once it happens. Regardless of how appealing a romanticized Utopia sounds, it doesn’t work, and it doesn’t exist. If you think that this guy is the messiah and will solve all your problems, you are a fool, and you would probably buy some beautiful beachfront property in Nevada, too. Wake up! ALL politicians will tell you what they think you want to hear, and you are no better or smarter than people who think Bush or McCain walk on water. The system is simply that of a politics of personality where people vote based on who they think is going to give them the most in free gifts from the public treasure.
We all want “Change”, but you better be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. Not all change is for the better.

Wow, an Obamassiah supporter that can complete a sentence. Call CNN…it’s a first I am sure. I would be willing to bet it is some kind of Lexus liberal. If you don’t have health insurance it’s because you are too stupid to buy it. When more people have cell phones than health insurance it is not the problem of the government. What is with you libtard people always pointing the finger at someone else.

Man, you’re a selfish person. And what’s wrong about caring about the environment?
