Current events, politics and life in general from the perspective of a conservative woman in New York
For those of you who tried coming here, only to see a blank page, rest assured, I haven’t gotten hacked. It turns out that there were major plug-in and database compatibility issues with WordPress 2.1, which I was unaware of (as were many other people) when I decided to upgrade the software. My host, Justin of Webble You was working tirelessly into the night to find out what was wrong. So let’s all give him a big thank you for getting me back up and running. I just did.
Update: I’ve just finished the blog software upgrade.
Once again, the WordPress people have come out with a new version of the software. WordPress 2.07 was made to address a PHP security flaw in the previous version. So if things start looking a little funny here, keep in mind that I’m in the process of upgrading. When I’m done, I’ll post again.
The beauty of WordPress (the software used to create this blog) is that there are hundreds of themes and plugins available so people can customize the look and functionality of their blogs any way they like. I personally enjoy reading about, and trying out different plugins. But this is one plugin I will NOT be trying out!
Hey everyone,
I have just upgraded to WordPress 2.04. With this new version, there is more security. Thus, I am once again enabling anonymous commenting, which means you no longer need to contact me to register you beforehand. So comment away, and let me know what you think!
On another note, I have posting to all my guest bloggers since security is no longer an issue.
As I posted earlier, due to security issues with Spam Karma 2, anyone wishing to post a comment will need to login. However, since WordPress users have been advised to disable automatic reader registration, feel free to contact me, using the “Contact Me” form on top of the page, and I will be happy to register you.
This post will be kept on top for a few days. Scroll down for newer posts.
